Katikamu North Christmas Joy Initiative 2025
Restoring Dignity • Spreading Love • Bringing Hope to the Elderly
About This Initiative
The Egalite Equite Foundation is honored to present the Katikamu North Christmas Joy Initiative, a humanitarian project dedicated to supporting 250 of the most vulnerable elderly households across 194 villages in Katikamu North, Luwero District this festive season.
Many of the elderly in this region live in extreme poverty, face age-related health challenges, and often navigate life with little to no family support. This initiative seeks to restore hope and dignity by providing a comprehensive festive package filled with essential items that meet both nutritional and emotional needs.
What Each Elderly Household Receives (Total Value: USD $65)
The support will be delivered through a dignified, personal, community-centered distribution over a 2-week period in December 2025.
Project Goal & Objectives
Goal: To enhance the well-being and festive experience of 250 elderly households in Katikamu North by providing essential food, hygiene supplies, and festive clothing during the 2025 Christmas season.
Why This Project Matters
This initiative reflects our commitment to humanitarian values and supports SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-being). The elderly in Katikamu North have been pillars of their communities, but now face life's toughest challenges—extreme poverty, age-related health issues, and often, complete isolation.
Working together, we can bring warmth, joy, and relief to those who have given so much to their communities but now face life's toughest challenges alone. This Christmas, let's ensure that no elder is forgotten, and that dignity, love, and hope reach every home across these 194 villages.
